that link is about worthless prescott. i can only copy one item at a time and the touchcopy demo only copies 40 files in total.

ive tried several programs that i found and they only did 1 song at a time for the "free" edition. i am almost tempted to go p2p.

I'm a bit confused by this statement:

"what is on my ipod is in winamp but not on my laptop."

Is Winamp on some other computer, and if so, why not just copy the files from that computer to the laptop?

what i mean is that i synced my ipod to my laptop and everything shows up in winamp but is not actually on my laptop. i remember deleting a buch of music folders. would these have held all my songs and vids? does this make anymore sense?

In Winamp there is a setting to Copy all files to the drive. So all the songs you have on your iPod that Winamp recognizes can be easily copied to your local drive.
