hi, im a new user to laptops

but i read around the forums and saw that Notebook Hardware Control was a good program to monitor your CPU and such

In NHC, when i goto the ACPI tab, it says it is not configured yet.
Im not sure how to configure it, as ive read it can control fan speeds and such (which is what i want to do)

If it matters, i have a ASUS A8Js,
does my laptop not support ACPI?

is there a step by step guide to setting up the profiles ?

    thanks in advanc

you need to know basic knowledge on the acpi system and programing.

i think those features may only be available in the professional edition.

most users use NHC to see temp. if they have a pentium M then they can adjust multipliers, voltage, graphics (depending on maker & chipset)
