Okay I save my IM's to my computer via the option in the programs, does anyone know how to take them off my computer, and save them to a thumb drive so I can take them with me?
Thanks

I am not sure where MSN saves the XML files (the conversation files). However, (I believe) the alternative is to use MSN Plus! add-on which saves conversation as text files in the directory and sorts these files with respect to their email.
The other alternative is use different clients like Gaim / Miranda which supports MSN/AIM, which also lets you see the conversations being saved. Btw: Miranda can also be run off of a thumbdrive. -
I think this is what you are looking for??

check it out, you can take the messenger with you to any computer! But you have to switch over to Gaim which is a msn and aim and others client.
You can also get a portabe firefox (that is what I am using right now) So you can take your browser with you whereever you go. Your bookmarks your passwords all of it!! VERY cool app.
Here is the link directly to portable Gaim
