    Hello everyone,

I just recently installed AIM again on my computer, but whenever I run the program, I get this window/error message popping up on the right hand corner saying that I need to update my security system or something. When I close the window, it opens again automatically in ten or so minutes. How do I stop this window from coming up again? Ever?

    Thanks

Can you take a screenshot of it?

I've been having the same problem, except that AIM 6.5 keeps asking me to upgrade to 6.8 with a similar notification. It takes a bit longer for it to reappear, sometimes up to a day, but it's still annoying. So I finally looked in the C:\Program Files\AIM6 folder, and found a program there called anotify.exe. The icon matches the popup's icon, and the name indicates it may be giving these notifications, so I deleted it (after closing AIM). AIM still works. I haven't gotten any popups since then, but it'll be a couple days before I know if it works as a solution for sure.

Doesn't work... I deleted almost every .exe file except the actual AIM.exe, and the notification still comes up.

Silly question maybe, but have you installed the patch?

I would just install the latest version of aim with aim ad hack, it will install aim 6.8 without all the crap, I'm using that now and i haven't gotten any notifications. I'm think aim ad hack removes the notifications because i haven't seen one since i started using it.

    Plus its cleaner [IMG]

Huh, seems to be working for me so far - at least it didn't pop up today when I started AIM, and it has been every day before. I guess you just have a more persistant popup :(.
