7.1 - Fresh and hot, grab it
download, start, chose update, express option - wish it can be the same under XP

    my personal settings after update:
    . disable ati service
    . disable 2xATI start.up processes
    . reboot

this baby really is doing a wonder on my CoD2, graphic presentation seems quicker and crispier

    cheers ...

Does the driver support the old IGP in my laptop?

No bc135! Never download and install such new drivers for such older videocards!

Look: updating video drivers is a smart thing to do, but after a while manufacturers do not support old drivers anymore. It could install fine on your 9100 IGP, but the old drivers will work much better because the new drivers are ment for newer videocards and your old driver is ment especially for your videocard.

according to the site - no, anything that is older than the 9600 mobility will not be supported by this driver

personally i think the graphic driver that comes with vista for IGP card is much better than any windows stock graphic driver that i experienced

    cheers ...

Will there be any support for Vista for old hardware like the 9000?

if the gc can support DirectX 9 graphics and 32 MB of graphics memory (share or dedicated) - then the system already passes 1/2 of the hurdles to run vista.
    The other parts =
    # 1 GHz 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
    # 512 MB of system memory
    # 20 GB hard drive with at least 15 GB of available space

then it would run vista home basic

    cheers ...
