Hi...
Just a quick question.
Internet Explorer 8 does not and will not update itself to newer versions like how FF, Opera and Chrome etc. do - like Opera Version 9.6 to Version 10 or FF fro, Version 3.1x to Version 3.2x?
Why is this so? Does this mean that IE8 does not have any kind of incremental improvements like the other browsers do? Or, are such incremental changes pushed through Windows Update, but they don't affect the version of IE 8 as it does in other browsers?
If browsers are pretty much the same and work on the same (or approximately, the same) development cycles, then how come MS does this differently? What advantage is it to them?
Thanks

OK. So that means only 'new' browsers from MS like from IE7 to IE8 which represents deep changes. Pity they don't have the system of themes - formally, I mean, like Opera or FF do.
Yes, I checked the WinUpdates and there are some patches for IE8, but they are in no way comparable to the version changes of the other browsers.
Thanks.
