Hi, i bought an Alienware about a year ago and(in that time) i had no idea what the RECOVERY PARTITION was, but thats not the deal... The thing is that i want to know how to(as Recovery partition does) make a recovery partition and when I recover my laptop, make it ask the info(such as user name, GMT and so on) like if the computer were new.

I mean, have the partition with the desired OS and already installed drivers but with no pc-name and any other information. Is there an "easy" way to do it? or you have to modify an OS?

    Thanks.

Everything that it does can be done in the Control Panel. The PC name is on the System (Advanced) panel.

Yes, I know it can be done afterwards, but the thing is that I want to make the recovery partition ask for those info after recovering, like factory computer does.

Install alienrespawn. It will create the partition automatically and sysprep the machine to give you the OOBE experience.
