I have an Acer 5552 and I'm having some software problems. I had NTI DVD Maker 9 but it wasn't installed properly so I uninstalled it. It came with my laptop so for me to get it back I will have to do a recovery but I've done that already and, I don't want to go through the hassle again. I want to etch my name and label my DVD's so I don't get them confused. Is there another program that will do it well and won't mess up my laptop.

Also my Windows explorer is having some problems. Every time I click to open it, it keeps saying this file doesn't have a program associated with it for performing this action. It tells me to install a program or create an association in the Default program control panel. I don't know what program to associate it with or do I just install a new program.

I would love it if someone can help me with all of this

I need a software that etch pictures and words on to the CD and DVD's physically with no paper on said items.
