    Hi,

I'm looking at buying this Acer Aspire 5740-6025 laptop, listed here:

    http://www.amazon.com/Acer-Aspire-A...1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1268790035&sr=8-1

It comes with Windows 7 pre-installed, but I'd like to downgrade to Windows XP. I'm sure it's possible to do so, but I am wondering if this laptop comes with downgrade rights included, or if I would have to buy a separate copy of XP to use. I'm not interested in buying a separate copy, so I'll only buy it if it comes with downgrade rights included. Does anyone know? Amazon customer service was not definitive enough for my liking (i.e. they seemed confused by the question).

    Anyone know?

    Thanks!

(as for why I'm downgrading, well, that's a longer story....). Thanks again!

Only OEM Vista Business and OEM 7 Professional have downgrade rights to XP Professional.
