I just want to ask you all if I am imagining things or are Acer support total rubbish .
I bought a new 8935G the lower spec end model last week,the first one arrived and the back lit key board wouldn't work so I asked Acer for help. They were rubbish ,the internet site took an age to reply and eventually replied with a suggestion totally different to original query i had placed in relation to my my computer problem,they told me it was software problems and instructed me to call the software help line premium rate number,then they agreed to repair it but it would take up to 10 days.. What service for a customer with a brand new computer and totally unused. Eventually I invoked by distant buyers rights and got the retailer to replace it with a brand new model he had no choice he had to replace or refund ,I felt so sorry for him it was Acers problem but he had to take the flack!!.
Any way the computer came with an Acer upgrade cd and a win7 upgrade disc. So I upgraded ,and it wiped out all the media side plus the free office trials etc. The top spec comes already upgraded with win 7 and everything pre-loaded yet they will not offer any support to the upgrade computers at all even though they supply the disc with the computer and an Acer upgrade dvd. The only thing the supply is the win 7 drivers that are on the site ,no pre installed programs nothing !! What sort of service is this!!! In my opinion we must be fools for supporting their company by purchasing their products and putting up with their service.
