I have just installed Windows 7 Home Premium on my Acer Aspire 9300 laptop, which previously had Vista on it.
The Orbicam webcam no longer works and I cannot find a driver for it. Can anyone help, please?

Thanks, but that link is for Vista - not Windows 7!

Yes but it might still work for W7. Try it and see.

OK, so I have now followed the instructions in Post #2 and installed the drivers. When I restarted the laptop, the little light flashed on the webcam.
In device manager, it says Acer Webcam running OK and drivers are up to date.
The problem now is that I don't seem to have anywhere to switch the camera on! I used to have an Acer Orbicam button on the Start menu but now I have nothing. -

Well there are tons of programs you can use it with. If you would like the original one then. http://www.mediafire.com/?qtmqjmzfmmy (I uploaded it for you, just save it to where ever you want. Another program I would recommend is Manycam: http://www.manycam.com/
Hope this helps -
Thank you SO much. I have now manycam installed and the webcam is working fine!
I could now do with some help on getting my scanner to work on my PC, which was running XP until I installed Window 7. I have looked for drivers but the Genius website only has drivers up to XP.
I guess I shall have to find another forum as this one is for Notebooks.
Any advice on which forum may be able to help, please? -

Actually you can usually use xp drivers on windows 7 as well. Just save the file if its and .exe and right click on it, click --> properties --> Compatibility --> Check "run this program in compatibility mode for: Win XP (SP3)". then hit apply/ok and now right click on the drivers and click run as administrator. If its a .zip or .rar file, just extract it and do the steps above.
Let me know if this work. Feel free to ask and more questions. -
Just to say thank you for your help. My webcam and scanner are now working.
To get the scanner to work, I had to download drivers for Vista and check XP Compatibility Mode. -
