I have just installed Windows 7 Home Premium on my Acer Aspire 9300 laptop, which previously had Vista on it.

The Orbicam webcam no longer works and I cannot find a driver for it. Can anyone help, please?

Thanks, but that link is for Vista - not Windows 7!

Yes but it might still work for W7. Try it and see.

OK, so I have now followed the instructions in Post #2 and installed the drivers. When I restarted the laptop, the little light flashed on the webcam.
In device manager, it says Acer Webcam running OK and drivers are up to date.

The problem now is that I don't seem to have anywhere to switch the camera on! I used to have an Acer Orbicam button on the Start menu but now I have nothing.

Thank you SO much. I have now manycam installed and the webcam is working fine!

I could now do with some help on getting my scanner to work on my PC, which was running XP until I installed Window 7. I have looked for drivers but the Genius website only has drivers up to XP.

I guess I shall have to find another forum as this one is for Notebooks.

Any advice on which forum may be able to help, please?

Actually you can usually use xp drivers on windows 7 as well. Just save the file if its and .exe and right click on it, click --> properties --> Compatibility --> Check "run this program in compatibility mode for: Win XP (SP3)". then hit apply/ok and now right click on the drivers and click run as administrator. If its a .zip or .rar file, just extract it and do the steps above.

Let me know if this work. Feel free to ask and more questions.

Just to say thank you for your help. My webcam and scanner are now working.

To get the scanner to work, I had to download drivers for Vista and check XP Compatibility Mode.
