I bought TI 11 b/c I thought I would like all of the features, but there are some kinks in it still (it will get hung up at certain points). I found out it does not work so well AFTER I bought it at Fry's -can't return it. Anyway - I just went through a clean install this weekend and I ran quite a few BU and restores right off the disk (with the supporting files on an external drive). It all worked very well using TI as the boot disk. Now I am wondering if I should even allow it to take up resources on my clean FZ. I am not really into a scheduled back-up plan. My external is not always on and neither is my FZ. I do backups once/twice a week manually, so it seems that just using the disk would continue to work OK.

Any real cons with this approach? Or at least until TI 12 arrives? ;)
