    Hi everyone.
I am looking for the solution to make Acronis True Image bootable CD work with sata drive.
If not solution is found, can you suggest me a good backup software.
    Thank you very much.

According to the Acronis documentation, there is no reason why you cannot create a bootable CD using a SATA-based drive; what specific problem are you having, and are you sure that your BIOS recognizes the CD drive you're trying to use?

    We need more details here.

I use Acronis nearly everyday on Desktops that are all SATA interface, I restore from backups across the network or on eSata. Also I use their software for SAS drives, the only thing Acronis lacks is decent support of new devices.

Also check out the official Acronis forum over at Wilders Security forums.

My problem is when I tried to restore XP, the bootable CD can not recognize my internal HDD (not CD). Bios recognize every device I have.
Is there a solution to it?
    Thank you.

That sounds more like a system problem, not an Acronis problem. Did you add that hdd to the system after the bootable CD was made?

Then I'd suggest doing the honorable thing and obtaining a license from them for the software they've worked so hard to create. :D

Fair enough. Now, with respect to your problem, what, exactly, happens? A detailed description (including any error messages you're getting) would probably make it easier to figure out.

Thanks Shyster again for concerning my problem.
Here's the step I did: (all ready have a backup file on my HDD)
    1/Turn on the computer
    2/Boot with the Acronis CD.
3/When into the software, choose Recover.
4/Navigate to the backup file --> here's the problem. The software did not see my partition or any HDD.

Also look at Casper. It has worked for me when Acronis has misbehaved. It was originally recommended to me by a friend who was somewhat annoyed when a HDD died and his Acronis backup would not restore onto the new HDD because it was a slightly different capacity although the headline size was the same.

The reason why it does not see your HDD, is because of the lack of a driver for your SATA chipset. The best way around this is with BartPE or LiveXP disc with True Image and the proper drivers. If you need more information, I can point you in the right direction.
