So I recorded some shows with Media Center, but they have no sound (was having problems but now they seem to be fixed). Is there anyway I could get the sound back? i know I can watch them with subtitles, but I don't want too.

I'm not sure what you mean when you say get the sound back? Either you recorded it or you didn't. In the case you did, it should be simple matter to check the sound out put and make sure everything is connected properly and switched on.

Are you listening through your laptop speakers?

I recorded the shows, but when playing them there is no sound. I use headphones and hear nothing. The problem has fixed itself, I recorded something yesterday and it had sound, but the previous recordings do not.
