on some sites it works fine, on others it doesnt.

windows 7 64bit os. running google chrome, but its the same in IE too. i think it has something to do with the flash settings......

looking at thedailyshow.com. the video screen is black.
on other sites the 1st frame of the video shows but when you press play, nothing happens.
    youtube works fine though.
already have the latest version of flash (maybe its the 64 bit browsers???)

anyway, what settings might be doing this...
global privacy is set to always ask
global storage is set to 100kb, 3rd party flash is set to off, store common components is set to on.
    global security is always ask
global notifications is on, update for every 7 days
peer assisted networking, no boxes are checked

will download firefox, but i dont think that might help.

    any ideas please?
    thanks

Are you running 64bit flash? You can use a 32bit browser and 32bit flash fine on Windows 7 64bit.

it says i have all the latest versions of flash (10.2.152.26 for IE and firefox, and 10.2.154.12 for chrome)

is there a special download for 64 bit browsers?

    thanks

64 bit browsers aren't that mainstream yet. IE has a version and I think Firefox has one in beta though you might need to do some digging to find it.

figured it out, in case someone in the future has the same problem and does a search for this...

in "global storage setting panel' make sure "allow 3rd party flash content to store data on your computer" is checked. apparently some sites require that.

    thanks
