I have been using Adobe Professional 6 on my former XP machine (includes reader and distiller which I use all the time to create pdfs). When I tried installing it on my new Vista machine the installation froze and never finished (i had to cancel it). Is Adobe Pro 6 not compatible with Vista? Do I need an upgrade or patch? I searched the adove knowledgebased but didn't see anything pertinent.

only adobe 8 (and above) works correctly with Vista. If u only use adobe to read pdf, i recommend switching to (free version) FoxitReader, it works fine under vista. Thoug the commercial version of Foxit allows one to do lot more than just reading pdf

    cheers ...

Thanks I will look into it. I really needed something to create and edit pdfs with, and don't have v8.

But I found this product which I am trialling - seems to have all the functionality (and more) for a much more reasonable price :D :
