This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Is it possble to permanently hide the menu bar in Adobe Reader 9?

    Not sure if you can perform such global function from the reader itself.

    You can however control that specific menu hiding within chosen documents, allowing users to be able to read the pdfs and not manipulating it.

    I like to "permanently hide" all of Adobe Reader ;)

    ...and use FoxIt Reader instead. :)

    Foxit reader is better . Loads faster with simple copy and editing options . Only prob is that we need some additional image decoders .And they are available through update or in Foxit site .

    :) Agree with FoxitReader, but it would not address the issue that OP has - "disabling Menu bar".

    Can't help but I went from Adobe to Foxit back to Adobe.
