Pirx - Can you please check on this and let me know if it solves the issue of saving those specific type of PDF's?

This is from the Adobe forums... Please see here.

    Thanks a lot.

    Edit:
By the way, the response to what could have fixed the main problem with Reader X and Browser integration, was this:

As I mentioned there, I cannot confirm this is what I did because I remember getting Reader X from the Adobe Reader download page *after* Reader X was officially released - around the same time when others downloaded and installed it as well!!!!

Anyway, just thought I'll note this here.

    Cheers.

You mean disabling Protected Mode? Acrobat Pro doesn't have Protected Mode at this time, onlt the Reader features this. Since bot the Reader and Acrobat Pro have the same issue, I don't think it is related to Protected Mode.

Oh, and turning on Protected Mode in IE is not an option: I'm not going to disable my browser security to fix a problem I rarely see in the first place, and that can be worked around by other means if I run into it.

I find it to be much slower online than AR9, which was a massive improvement over 8.

Can't even install it here "runtime error whatever..." to try PDF exchange viewer.

Okay PDF-X stays, it even puts thumbnails in explorer.

I like this inclusion in PDF-X, its light footprint, and 64-bit support.

Adobe sure seems dead set on making it difficult to even download the damn think.

Do they really think people need their DLM for an 8mb file?

I see no non-DLM download link for anything but Flash Player on Adobe's site.

Adobe - Adobe Reader download - All versions

Open in IE and select 'save as' (or run directly if you don't want the installer file to be saved..) when asked...

    Cheers.

Oops! Sorry, I didn't read your post carefully when I replied before... and I assumed you were looking for an FTP server or similar link to download without the download manager or whatever!!

Anyway, at least the link would serve future visitors here, I guess!!

    Cheers

@ DLM comments, languages and os versions aside. If you want english and windows, FileHippo.com has both reader and flash player downloads, old and new versions. Its where i get alot of my windows stuff, but they only have so much stuff in 64 bit atm.

They also tend to be out within minutes or hours of a release for major stuff a day or so on everything else at worst.
