    Hey guys,

What Adware software do you guys recommend using on a Windows 10 system? I was hoping for a free program recommendation?

    Thanks

I sure hope you meant ANTI adware program. I highly recommend NoScript.

Are you talking blocking adware or creating adware?

NO NO lol I'm talking about a program to scan my system and get rid of all the junk haha, I assumed that was self explanatory. Most searches I have done recommended Malwarebytes so I tried that last night and it found 50 items and I got rid of them. I use Windows Security that comes with Windows 10 so I'm not looking for a program that includes Anti Virus...I've run into too many issues using 3rd party anti virus programs and just decided to stick with what Microsoft includes...it seems to work fairly well so I'm not interested in messing with it.

Then Malwarebytes (the free version, don't opt for the trial which is the real time scanning) is the best for manual scanning of files every now and then as needed.

OK, that's what I'll use then (I already deactivated the trial). Years ago people use to use a program called "AdAware" or something like that. Do people still use that or has it come and gone by now?

That's extinct bro. It has now turned into a full antivirus rather than an Anti-Malware like it was back when it was at version 6. It's a buggy antivirus now that's full of false positives. Steer away.

You can also keep this tool in your arsenal for manual scans: Malwarebytes AdwCleaner
