im sorry i know this isnt related much to alienware, (although im using alienware m14x :p)

im planning to created BF3 gameplay videos when it comes out. right now, im practicing creating videos on BFBC2. i use fraps to record the video at 1600x900, and my intro for the video is another video clip at 720p. when i put my gameplay videos in the after effects which i use to edit, it zooms in a bit, making it look 720p like my intro. problem is, its only 1:39 seconds long, and is already 6gb. i tested uploading it on youtube, and it says it will take about 2300 minutes to upload. my upload speed is around 0.35 to 0.4 mbps. i was planning to upload videos about 10 minutes of BF3 gameplay at 720p, but if 1.5 minutes is already 6gb, (max on youtube is 20gb), how am i going to be able to upload a 10 minute video! help please! thanks!

Depending on what software you are using you want to lower the resolution and choose the appropriate video container/compression. Youtube doesn't require such a high resolution ;)

I think you are using avi format, without compression, it is going to be a really big file.
Convert it into high quality wmv format, make sure it is in FHD or 720p, the file size will reduce a lot, while still maintaining high quality video.
What I do is I use Vegas Pro 10 to compile all videos, while using After Effect to create Intro and Outro for my videos.

    Hope that helps. Cheers :)

Uncompressed the border does indeed make the file bigger. However, once you apply compression when you render it the border will not consume much file space at all.
