I got a new to me AW17 and it had the original factory install on the recovery partition. After updating to latest version of Win 10 1809 FCC I had to do another recovery from the partition but I tried 2x and I keep getting the 1809 FCC, not the original Win 10. Does Windows overwrite the factory image or how would I reinstall the factory image?

I had issues with Chrome and my Killer wifi is why I had to reinstall.

Well this is gtreat because i am having weird issues like video drivers disappearing, program settings chaging on yhere own, not loading when Windows starts. I guess i might have to do a reinstall from a downloaded copy on windows 10 on a thumb drive. That will make it 4 times to grt this beast running.

You should contact the laptop manufacture support about this issue.

I wiped the factory partitions yesterday and did a clean install on win 10 and i got to say its so much faster and trouble free than the original Alienware image anyways. I should have just dont that to start with. I sure wasted a lot ofbtime messing around trying to use the original image. I am sure Dell wont lose any sleep over the trouble i have had. I am glad i was able to sort it out myself ghough.
