I am using Nero Express right now to burn files to blank dvds and am absolutely fed up with it because it slows my laptop waaay down and I can barely add files to my disc (it takes forever to select one). I don't think its my laptop as I have a fast hard drive (7200 RPM) and 1 GB of memory. But I'd like to be able to burn dvds and still go on the internet or watch something on my laptop without it being choppy. Can anyone recommend some good dvd burning software thats quality, quick and doesnt slow down my laptop so much?

I use Cyberlink's DVD Solution. It can do both CDs and DVDs. I'm not sure if it would be any faster, though. It doesn't seem too slow to me.

You could upgrade/downgrade your version if your key allows. CDBurnerXP and DeepBunrer are both free and work well for the basics.

Sonic RecordNow 8 Premier is a great alternative to Nero and it is what I would recommend to you. See all its features here.
