The extra BatteryBarPro features (skins, etc) cost, but the free download with the ore battery life estimate based on history is free for use. So why look for an alternative?

I do also use BattStat to graph instantanous battery usage over time.

Battery Bar doesn't show in Task Manager so I suppose it's integrated into windows processes already there but I've used Battery Care for a few days and uninstalled it when I found it was using ~10K of memory in TM.

Just use Battery Bary free and keep an eye out for the promotions to get it for a few $$ with a lifetime license. I paid $2 for it with a license that never runs out, great deal.
