When I did a clean install of vista64 I was getting very fast boot times. On the first windows screen you see when you power on there is a yellow bar that moves across a load bar. Now, the yellow bar used to move across the load bar about 4 times, and now it moves across 11 times. Does anyone know what could be wrong? I am running off a clean install and have a good amount of services disabled, I went by tweakhound's reccomendations for what to disable. My hard drive is defragged and my computer is spyware free. I also have a pretty quick hdd, does anyone know what could be causing this? Oh, and one more thing, I already cleaned up the registry with ccleaner. Thanks guys.

just a wild guess that vista was learning and updating its start.up sequences in accordance to ur system set.up

does it make really a big difference in startup time (with stop watch if u so incline) between the 4 and 11 bar slashing across ur screen?

    cheers ...
