So I have the Furbino skin on it and it looks great. Only issue (other than the fact it still loads twice on startup) is that now when I reboot the meters don't seem to stay in the same placeI left them.
Any ideas on what's causing that? I'm actually thinking of uninstalling it because its not being the effortless accessory it is for everyone BUT me.

When I had it installed, the meters would move (no matter what) after playing a game. The meters on the right edge would move towards the center. I believe this is because of the resolution change during the game. But it annoyed me so much, I uninstalled the program.

dave check msconfig to see if theres 2 instances running
i use furbino skin too
they should stay in place...idk why that happens to u
tupa, yeah check my thread on that issue. -
I checked msconfig and there are 2 instances, but when I disable one...I disable both. It's driving me nuts so I just exit out of one when I reboot, which isn't very often.
Same thing in Autoruns. I disable one and I disable both.
I only use the user stats, drive, and memory meters and it annoys me when they move because its not easy aligning them to the right of the screen for some reason. -
i think there was a thread about that rainmeter problem with the 2 instances running...try searching im pretty sure i remember someone who had that problem

try this,
place all skins in your desired position,
go to C:\Program Files\Rainmeter\
find rainmeter.ini
right click on it>>>properities>>> set this file to read-only
this will disable all skin settings (like transparency, skin position, draggable or not, click through or not, etc.)
next time if your skins moved places, right click any skin, and "refresh all" skins, then all skins will get back to right positions.
***this method can't prevent the skins from moving places, but we can easier restore them back into normal after disasters, hope that helps a little.***
after applying this tweak, if you want to modify, add, or close skins, you have to uncheck read-only on rainmeter.ini, otherwise modifications won't save!! -
No, my problem wasn't solved the first time. -
I can't believe I registered on this forum just to post this message.. Lol. And then after registering, I noticed it's an old thread anyway... *sigh*
Anyways, if anybody else comes across this thread and you're also getting irritated by the RainMeter dials moving after playing a game (or changing resolution, which is what causes the issue)... Here's how to get around it:
Right click on the RainMeter systray icon (or on the RainMeter dials themselves) you will have an option for each one called 'Keep On Screen'. If you disable this option, then when the screen size changes down (in a game) and back up again (in Windows) your meters will all still be in the same place.
If you're worried about not being able to get to your meters if you change your Windows resolution: simply right-click the systray, highlight the desired meter, and reselect 'Keep On Screen'. This will move it back onto the screen.
Hope this helps.... -
This doesn't have to do anything with the topic, but is there anyway to have rainmeter load up automatically when window starts?

or put it in the Startup folder
