Well Yesterday i got AntiVir PersonalEdition Premium Edition FREE. It is a 100% Genuine/legal copy that should have cost me €20.

I was using their free version and was doing an update; a pop-up came during the update saying "Get AntiVir Premium for Free!". So i tried it, and it works.

You get the Premium Edition for 1 computer only for 1 year, which i dont think is too bad considering its free!

Basically thier motto is "You try, we pay". They are the ones paying for the software, aslong as you try one of the TrialPay websites (e.g. Ebay). For some of the things you have to buy a book off a website for example, but they way i got it for free was i had to register a new account on Ebay. Then bid on something; something that i knew i was going to get outbid on, therefore i didnt pay for anything.

Go to www.trialpay.com for more info.

Hmmm, when I tried it, it says you have to buy something from ebay.

    To complete this offer:
-You must register as a NEW user at eBay. You will not be credited if you already have an eBay account.
-You must confirm your registration with the eBay-supplied password sent by email.
-You must BUY something within 24 hours of registering to be credited. Buy It Now purchases are acceptable.
-eBay Express or Half.com purchases do not qualify.

guess I'm still stuck with the free version then. I keep the premium that I already have on the desktop which my wife uses. Thanks for the info though man.

Hey, watch your language young man... Antivir is excellent, better than AVG I'd have to say. Only downside is they have a popup after you update.

I would agree with this. It WAS good but then the pop up and the way the recent version's feel. Seems like it's not as good as it used to be.

I picked the old AOL antivirus powered by Kasperty to be way better and was the best of the free AVs. It's discontinued and AOL swtiched to McAfee. YUK.

I like NOD32. Costs money. But...is a little less invasive than what I used to use, namely Norton SystemWorks.
