    1.) Will running and, let's say Spysweeper or any antivirus or antispyware program, degrade your SSD's life as it regularly searches and deletes ?

    2.) Because you're using an SSD, the scans would be 10x faster wouldn't it?

    From what I have read, scans/reads do not degrade performance that same way that 'writes' degrade it. That why defragging is so bad to do with a SSD - it does constant rewriting of files all over the drive. Virus and spyware scans just access the files, deleting the odd one here and there. Doing scan is not too much different than just running you OS from the SSD. Just accessing a bunch of files...

    And yes, the scan would be fast.

    I have MSE and Malwarebytes - can do both scans simultaneously and still quick - try that with a mechanical drive.
    Stain is correct - writes that cause the issue - even them - the laptop you're using will most likely wear out before the SSD will, and when the SSD wears out, newer versions will exist that replaces those. Just use and enjoy the speed.
