    Any decent XP or Vista drivers for Macbook Pro?

    I was thinking of getting one, but...

    I understand that because of a lack of good drivers, the Macbook Pro has horrible battery life with XP and Vista...

    No, my 1st gen MBp's battery life runs fine on XP (I did install vista but that was just a very bad mistake but the battery life was fine as well) though the measurements were wacky sometimes indicating less/more battery life than I did.

    Where did you read this? Apple's hardware is almost the same as any other PC with the exception of a hardware chip on the motherboard that certifies the computer as Apple hardware. Less battery life under Windows with a MBP because of driver issues doesn't make much sense to me...

    Forgot where I read it first, but when I looked into it, it popped up all over the place. (Granted, most of the articles were a year old...)
