Just wondering other than "XP Mode", what the difference between Windows 7 RC (7100) and the retail Windows 7 Professional edition is

I personally noticed a performance increase, and more compatibility with hardware. I don't know the other technical differences....

But I am running the RTM edition of Windows 7 since 2 months and haven't formatted or experienced a single problem since them.

RTM is as good as retail. But if you're still using RC, then I advice you to upgrade immediately.

I found my Windows 7 RTM build changed time to time.
It is 7600. I mean the number from behind. 1stly, it is 16385.
Now, it is 16418. I think it is because Windows 7 has been officially launched. So, the Windows Update upgraded the Build. Logically, RTM become Retail.
