The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I need to make slideshow presentation and need to know some free software programs like powerpoint?Also it would be great if it has a easy interface.

    OpenOffice is the free alternative to Microsoft Office Professional

    its freakin awesome.

    I third OpenOffice. It has a lot of the features Microsoft Office has, and is completely free. However, I still use Microsoft Office dominantly :D

    You could either use OpenOffice (impress), or you could try the online ajaxPresents, if you don't wanna install anything.

    Neither are on par with Powerpoint, but are probably enough for a simple presentation.

    open office is the best alternative to any of microsoft's office programs hands down. Its so similiar and looks just as great, if not better! :)
