    since it release i haven't used it since then. did they ever made anything big like update patch? SP1 out yet? if not do you know when?

    Yes, it is pretty much the same as the release.

    Few minor updates but nothing significant.

    Edit: The last I heard of the about the release of SP1 was that it would be out by the end of the year.

    I think Vista itself is pretty good news. For an initial release of an OS, its very stable and computability issues have been quite minimal.

    I know the fan-boys, trolls and complainers won't agree, but I think Vista is good news.
