    Any ideas how to Install Quickplay Software 3.0 (Vista) on a Non-HP Notebook?

    i really like this software and im trying to install it on my gateway p6860fx.

    When i try to install the software on vistax64 it says it cannot install due to my notebook not being an hp.

    my notebook also has the touch sensitive strip on top of the keyboard and i think it would compliment this software also.

    any ideas how one would do this? is there a way to fool the setup.exe? i understand that quickplay 3.0 is purely software and dosent require partitions like the old version 2.3 to which i prefer anyways; just looking to watch some dvds with this software.

    P.S. Ive tried interlink dvd and media portal and wasnt too interested (lack of dvd audio/video settings). If this dosent work i guess ill give the new powerdvd a try.

    You need an HP BIOS for Quickplay to install. Also, your media keys are not the same as an HP's media keys. Even though they have the same function, they are not the same to the computer.
