I just started using SyncToy for on/off syncs but what I want is a tool that'll, when I save in Documents or any folder, sync and save/create the file automatically in another, so I can basically keep a constant, real time backup on an external harddrive.

    Thanks!

softpedia, cnet, etc, etc has a good search function, I'll bet that the term 'sync' plus some other keys like freeware/gpl, updated in the past three months, etc, etc will being up a pile of options.

Looking at what the guys at portableapps.com use for their sync apps is always a good idea. Those people are pretty anal in terms of program reliability, 'free', and so on.

If you are even considering the 'full, smart backup' software path, along with yadis you shoudl also look at cobian backup.
