    I've got 4gb of ram, but most of it is unused the majority of time. Is there any way to have more of it cached in the ram?

    Don't worry about it. Let Windows 7 handle. I assume you are using Windows 7.

    I do not believe there is any way to have it cache more. The reg edits that I know of only disable it completely or disable prefetch.

    Nah, superfetch cannot be controlled like that.
