I'm doing it in 3 steps right now, which is ridiculous. Converting .flv to .avi and then seperating out the audio track with windows movie maker and then converting the .wma to .mp3. Is there a quick, 1 step solution out there?

Google search : flv to MP3, try the first link

MediaCoder, free (although donations are appreciated I think). At first it may seem somewhat complicated but it's very easy in fact. In Audio tab select Enable Audio and Copy Audio, in Video tab unselect Enable Video, click Start. If audio in the FLV file is encoded as a MP3 (which is the case usually) then MediaCoder just rips the audio from the FLV file and saves as MP3 file. If not you can always select MP3 as an encoder. HTH

It's actually NOT free.. you get some sort of trial according to everybody on download.com. False advertising. That's why I was asking here... because there's a lot of scammy stuff or adware like that out there if you just try to google it.

Did you at least try it?? Well, Ive tried it a couple of times and it is FREE (not trial ware or adware). I use google most of the time, and if you know your stuff then you can easily avoid getting scammed or infected.
I see you are refering to the 3rd comment in download.com , but I never got any messages like that. -
Argh.. mediacoder is complicated to the point of being completely unusable. I keep getting error 008 no matter what I do. I selected lame mp3 as an encoder. I chose enable audio and copy audio. No matter what, flv or avi files I get a 008 error.

YES. Use it 10 times or so and they force you to a registration page, where you have to buy the thing to get the code or else it just closes when you close the window asking for registration.

try this one...
dvdvideooft -
Total Video Downloader.
Google it. -
Nothing comes up when you google it. Something comes up as total video converter... but that has nothing to do with what I'm asking for. Please no more google suggestions from other as*holes. I'd spent several hours googling and couldn't find anything good, which was why I was asking. I'm using the dvdsoft thing right now, but I'd prefer to use something that can batch convert and remember an output location to save time. Thanks.
Anybody know a decent free .flv to .mp3 converter??
