I remember it being in app data but apparently there is no longer an NK2 file in the 2010 version.
Microsoft's site says that its on my Exchange providers servers but they dont seem to have it.

    Any suggestions?

    hey mate,

it should be in this directory " Users\*username*\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\RoamCache" - named similar to " Stream_Autocomplete_0_*bunch of numbers*.dat".

It pulls the data from the exchange when setting up an existing user on another machine or re-configuring mail on current PC - I believe its held with the users account file on the exchange server, which isn't always the easiest to access and pull individual data from.

If you want to access whats in the NK2 (.dat) file you can use NK2Edit from NirSoft, awesome little tool

    Thanks for your reply.

    I found the file.
Should I just copy and paste it into my new Outlook profile? Or would there be some benefit to using that tool?

I've never tried copy pasting with Outlook 2010, I don't believe that would work, if you have your old .NK2 file place it here - %appdata%\Microsoft\Outlook - rename it to your current exchange profile name then run outlook.exe /importnk2.

Otherwise if you dont have your .NK2 file from 2007 - download NK2Edit, open your old .dat file then go to "Action -> Merge with another NK2 file" or CTRL+M. Merge it with the new .dat file outlook created.
