Said something about a driver being stuck in an infinite loop. Was playing CS Source (in the map the just happens to freeze 99% of the time while playing, cs_office), froze, and attempted to ctrl alt del. This is what it said on the bottom...

Beginning dump of physical memory (or something like that...)
Happened several times already (once after ending WarRock, an FPS, and a few more times while freezing in cs_office and attempting to ctrl alt delete). Uninstalled and reinstalled graphic drivers (newest version) but did not work. Please help?

I'de have all my stuff backed up right away. Then pull out your recovery disks and perform a system recovery to clean all messed up issues and reload your backed up stuff. If that doesn't work, reformat.

Any other less drastic courses of action? (Thanks for the answer BTW. Might do it if I really have to. It's really annoying).

unfortunately might be a hardware (video card) problem. my old laptop had similar stuck in infinite loop bsod but with intel graphics. it was a hardware problem and the whole computer died a few months later.

So should I use my old drivers? Because they worked.
Also, there's something very odd. The most recent drivers I downloaded were according to HP's site for Windows XP Pro. However, after downloading, when you mouse over it, it says under description that it is for vista. -
Here's what Google has to say. First site looks like it might help, though it seems to suggest new drivers, so IDK. The old ones might solve the problem, too. Also try jimc's suggestion.
Either way, back up the important stuff now. And if your warranty is nearing expiration, it might not be a bad idea to extend it another year in case it is a hardware problem. -
ATI video card or driver is messed up. How about fixing it under safe mode?

Had the same problem with Windows XP and my Mobility X1400. Company of Heroes would give me the same sort of errors 90% of the time.
However, oddly enough, Windows Vista using the WDDL drivers are rock solid for me. Go figure I have to sacrifice performance for stability.
The default Dell drivers worked a charm under XP though. But the performance was worse than Vista.
Drivers fixed it for me, good luck with your issue. -

this is almost always tied to your video card drivers going crazy.
do a clean install of the newest drivers. when I say clean install I mean remove the old ones with CC Cleaner or somthing that takes out all the files not just the software.
(I havnt done this in awhile, I dont think the name of the program is CC Cleaner... google it up tho. there is another called nvidia cleaner I think that will work)
the other main thing that can cause it is your ram going bad. memtest86 overnight for like 10 hours... that should let you know how your rams doing.
Anyone wanna help fix my Blue Screen O' Death?
