This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     is there some kind of app that allows you to instantly turn screensaver off and on or detects whether there is some kind of video playing and turn the screensaver off gets annoying when watching youtube or dailymotion videos??

    set screensaver to None. why would anybody run a screensaver? it's making your computer do extra work for absolutely no reason.

    Neat to look at, prevent image retention on screens that are susceptible to it, locking the desktop when the user forgets to do so,..., because they can?

    Yeah, better be careful. It might join a union or something :p
