    Which application that benefit the most from quad core (going from dual core) and 12MB cache (going from 6 MB)?

    Honestly, you won't see much difference, except in processor-intensive apps, like encoding video, or some CAD programs. Also, some games like supreme commander can make use of all 4 cores.
