Oddly, I have issues with the realtek drivers. Suddenly they aren't working. The icon in taskbar say no audio device is installed.

Try to re-install the acer audio driver package and it is stuck in a loop, It keeps removing drivers to re-install the drivers. I have tried booting into safe mode and removing the Realtek drivers and it reboots windows update tries to install drivers and fails.

this is what the system device manager looks like, I have never seen these devices until now!

also the webcam has gone up the swanny too

I have the original hard drive before I upgraded to the 1tb samsung I am using and have been for over 6 weeks trouble free until now, I popped this into the machine and all devices work perfectly on previous 8 week old win 7 ultimate install.

How can I start again fresh from nothing? I really dont want to install windows again.

Are there mainboard, system or chipset drivers listed for that machine?

Realtek drivers are only half the audio system They have to "talk" via a serial bus to the chipset half of the audio. Maybe that's whats not working correctly.

I've never seen those things in Device Manager either.
