    CPU : Intel Celeron M CPU 420 @ 1.60GHz
    Memory : 1GB ( increased from 512MB)
Graphics : ATI Radeon Xpress 200M Series, Driver : 6.14.10.6614
Audio : Realtek HD Audio, Driver:5.10.0.5247
    Win Xp Home SP2 Version - 5.1.2600

I ran MS Vista Upgrade Advisor which recommended that I obtain new drivers for ASUS USB wireless network adaptor prior to installing Vista Premium, however it stated that I only had 896MB ram?

I have attemped 2 types of install using my upgrade version of Vista premium, a clean install followed by an upgrade from within XP. On both occassions the laptop 'hangs' at the final stages of the install where it is checking the performance of the laptop. It does about 33% of the checking and just sits there.

I have discovered the winsat.log file which did not show any errors, however it is not clear to me if the file is incomplete. Has anybody experienced the same problem, or can provide some information as to the content of the winsat.log file?

the other 128MB is probably used for graphics memory

and i think the performance checking can be quite slow sometimes.

Problem was resolved by updating the BIOS, flashed it to 228.
