I have a zv5000 laptop i just replaced the motherboard today the old one was fried. I decided that i was going to upgrade to a motherboard with an ati radeon 9600. anyways long story short i had to reformatt the computer i put vista on it and ever time i try to install the drivers that are for vista even if i tell it to update drivers it always comes back with this error iv reinstalled drivers 3 times and am stumped. Any ideas? Also off topic question does anyone know where to find sound drivers for it?

Well after a few hours of getting no where vista froze and refused to boot up so i said screw it and put xp on it. Sure xp runs fine but xp sucks connecting to wireless connections sucks horribly internet explorer 6 seems to keep being choopy as all hell and i miss my start menu serch bar.

sorry for seeing this a bit late. for what it is worth, my rad9600 comp needed the chipset driver first to be installed, then vista would accept it with no error. for the 9600/9700 (m10/m11) ati card, the non-vista that would work smoothly was an old version of the omega driver

    cheers ...
