    Audacity help

    When I try to record anything in audacity there is no indication or anything recorded.

    I'm using the built in microphones on my computer and they show sound when I open up the speech dictation software that comes with windows.

    I've tried all three options there and none of them do anything, the three choices are Microsoft sound mapper - input, and two Microphone (High Definition Audio)

    Yes, the bar stays straight and there is no sound when I play the section back.
