First just want to let you all know that I'm a noob at using audio programs, I've never used one, but I'm really interested to play around with some music tracks and remix a little. I've heard of the program Acid Pro before, is it the best one out there? Or are there any better ones that I could use? Also, are they easy to figure out? Or will it take me a long time to learn how to use them?

Audacity is cool but limiting - or perhaps it is due to my own noobness. Difficult to do certain things (e.g. synching up clips), but for free can't complain.

Yeah I have Audacity already, but it is kinda limited (or like you said, due to our noobness). It just looks ... bland.

Try Ableton Live, it's the easiest software to use and gets you professional results.

I second the Ableton Live suggestion, but if you want to do a live performance I also recommend taking a look at Native Instruments Traktor.

If you want to make music then I suggest using any DAW software, not audio editing software. Audacity is an audio editor.

Since you're only a beginner, I suggest trying out FL Studio demo. You get everything in the demo minus the save feature. No trials so you can use it as long as you like. They also have free updates if you decide to buy it. So if they roll out a new version, you can upgrade your software to that version for free unlike many software where you have to pay to upgrade.
