I'm looking for a program (preferably free, but that's not necessary) that will do audio file conversions. I mainly want to be able to go from WMA or OGG to MP3, but I also want the option to convert to other formats. What I'm saying is that I don't want something that only handles WMA > MP3 and MP3 > WMA.

I would love it if it would integrate into the shell so I can right click on a file and select convert. That would be just super. This is actually one of the main features I am looking for.

I've tried dbPowerAmp but I didn't like that too much. Right now I'm using the trial of Fast Audio Converter, which is nice, but I'm starting to doubt whether or not it is worth buying.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I've tried several converting programs... but I need a converter which can remove drm protection... Among them I prefer SoundTaxi cause it's the fastest (up to 15x on my notebook) and the sound quality stays good :)

You could use CDex, I used it long ago because there was no need to install anything, but I really like dbpoweramp, but I guess that wouldn't be for you since you didn't like it.

Look for MediaMonkey, it used to be called Songs DB. It will allow you to transcode anything you can find a Winamp plugin for, which is pretty much everything. :D
