    Hello people,
Can any of you help me with an audio issue??
I am using WMP and have also tried VLC and the problem persists.

    The problem is this:.......

I'm listening to music,(on this particular occasion I'm listening to 'ON' by Aphex Twin). The song starts well with some rain, thunder and a little piano - fine. Then comes the start of the beat (a repetitive cymbal), then everything else is muted to a certain degree and the sound is not as sharp or loud.
I want to maintain the sharpness and volume. I have googled a bit but nothing seems to work.

I would greatly appreciate if anyone has tips.

EDIT: I would like to add that I usually listen to my music through my music system and not my computer and so have never encountered this issue before. Is there a quick fix??

Knowing what your computer specs and model would be a start for anyone trying to figure if this is hardware or software driver issue?

It's more a settings (software) issue really. I don't need any new drivers or a new laptop dude!! Just looking for a way to keep the musical sounds at their own levels and not having them quieten down when other sounds are added to the music. I just wondered if there was a particular setting for this.
Your previous reply is the kind of reply I would expect from the Micro$oft forum. (no offense sir.)

Actually his reply was very good. It's always nice to know what laptop we working on. Not all software runs the same on all laptop models/brands. This is why we ask......
