    Audio Service is not running?

    I have an " X" through my task bar speaker icon with the above message highlighted. Is this one of W7 features, or some system malfunction?

    I have the red X sometimes when windows starts up, but the speakers work fine. Increase the volume and the red X will go away.

    I have noticed that too a few times. Click the icon and it immediately went away.

    My OS is Windows 7 Professional X64 and audio driver is Sigmatel (IDT) HD audio codec (Vista 64-bit driver) and I was having this issue since the RC build 7100.
