    Hello All,
I'm new to the forum and I recently purchased an HP dv5000 series notebook and I noticed that the sound is not as loud as I thought it would be. I play DVDs and MP3s on my down time and noticed that the sound quality is good but not loud enough. I don't expect the speakers to blow me away but I kinda expected better sound does anybody else feel the same way? Are there any software tweaks/programs that can boost the sound level if so what do you guys recommend?

    Thank you,
    The new guy.

Not sure but you can change the audio volume three ways:

Hardware control on the notebook itself
Whatever your using to play music (iTunes etc..)
    Thru windows itself
