Hi - for some strange reason, the components under Acc/Entertainment have disappeared....this could be the reason my Audio on my laptop is not working..

I can't even open PAINT anymore...

How do intall these without having to re-install Windows all over again ?

    Thanks - Mave

You could try system restore. If that doesnt work you need to find the cause of your computer misbehavior.

    Possible causes:
    installation of bad drivers
    Virus/malware
    hardware defects
    corrupt registry
    and others

You need to give us more details such as what you did and changed since it was last working. New programs, drivers or changes you made to windows.

What do you mean by paint is not opening. What is the error message. What do you see.

What is the make and model of your computer. Windows version. 32 or 64bit. Clean install or the pre install that come with the computer.
