I'm scanning my books so I can have them on my laptop. I need a software that can automatically crop hundreds of pictures, since the scanned pictures have the black border on two sides. The tricky part is that every other picture, the black margin is in different places. You can see what I mean from the picture. Does anyone know of a software that can do this? Every other crop will be exactly the same.

It's not going to be totally automated, but JPEGCrops should help you out. You're still going to have to reposition the crop box every time, but if you create a custom crop size it would just be a matter of dragging the box over for each page. It's looks like that's the only way you're going to be able to shave time off this process short of making someone else do it.

Theres a small graphics prog called PhotoFiltre Studio that I use to auto crop white borders from album cover scans. The setting, Image/Automatic Crop, might be what your looking for. Give it a try, its a good program.
